Apples are packed with fiber, prebiotics and antioxidants that all aid digestion and feed your healthy gut bacteria. This will be your new favorite way to boost your microbiome because it tastes like dessert and your kids will eat it too!
Ingredients:
8 Apples
2 tsp Oat flour or Almond or Arrowroot powder
3 tbsp Maple syrup
1 tsp Cinnamon
1/4 tsp Nutmeg
Ingredients for crumble top:
1 1/2 C Flour, Oat or all-purpose work best (almond tends to burn quickly)
1 1/2 C Oats
1 tbsp Maple syrup
2/3 C Vegan butter or solidified coconut oil
1/3 C Coconut sugar or Maple syrup
1/2 tsp Cinnamon
1/4 tsp Nutmeg
1/4 tsp Salt
1/4 tsp Baking soda
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 375F. Peal and core all the apples. Cut them into 1” chunks
2. In a mixing bowl coat the apples in the filling ingredients and then move them to a 8×8 baking dish
3. In the same mixing bowl add the topping ingredients and mix until a crumble texture develops. Pour this mixture on top of the apples and bake for 35 minutes
