Most people don’t know that you can get dehydrated in the winter. Drier air from indoor heating can cause you to become dehydrated without even realizing it. By the time your body signals you with thirst your body has already entered dehydration.
With just 4 ingredients you can make this healthier version of gatorade. It’s last up to 5 days refrigerated and tastes amazing! I also have a lemon-lime version! This recipe has no added sugar.
2 C Coconut water
2 C Watermelon juice
1 Pinch salt
1 Lime, juiced
Stir and serve!
**Caution: If you have a disorder such as a kidney disease where you’re unable to naturally excrete excess potassium from your body talk to your doctor before consuming coconut water which has a much higher concentration of potassium than gatorade.
