Anti-Inflammatoy Peach Iced Tea

Equipment

  • 1 Large pitcher, mine is 84.5oz
  • 1 Hand juicer

Ingredients

  • 10 C Filtered Water
  • 5 Organic black tea bags
  • 4 Ripe peaches sliced
  • 2 tbsp Fresh grated ginger
  • 2 tsp Turmeric
  • 2 tbsp Fresh squeezed lemon juice
  • 3-4 tbsp Honey, adjust to taste
  • Pinch Black pepper to activate the turmeric
  • Ice
  • Optional: lemon slices, mint or peach slices to garnish

Instructions

  • Bring 4 cups of water to a boil. Add the black tea bags, ginger and turmeric. :et steep 10-15 minutes
  • Remove the tea bags and strain
  • Squeeze half the peaches in a hand juicer. Stir in honey, lemon juice and black pepper
  • Add ice to the pitcher. Pour the tea over the ice. Add 6 cups of cool water. Add lemon slices and remaining peach slices. Mix
  • Refrigerate 2-4 hours or overnight for a stronger peach flavor
