Easy Cinnamon Rolls

Equipment

  • 1 Baking sheet

Ingredients

  • 2 Sheets Puff pastry - for gluten free use Sweet Loren's brand
  • 2-3 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 4 tbsp butter or vegan butter for dairy free, room temperature and spreadable
  • 1/4 C Brown sugar

Instructions

  • Pre heat oven to 400F. Remove the puff pastry from the refrigerator so that it comes up to room temp
  • In a small bowl, mix the sugar, cinnamon and butter until smooth
  • Lay one sheet of puff pastry down and gently roll it so it's smooth
  • Cover the puff pastry in the cinnamon mixture
  • Lay the second pieces of puff pastry on top
  • Cut the dough with a pizza cutter or shape knife in the middle horizontally.
  • Separate each half into 3 equal rectangles vertically
  • Cutting one piece at a time, create 6 fringe pieces like the video, leaving about 1/4" of dough untouched at the top
  • Braid the dough as if you were braiding hair. When you get to the end tuck the loose pieces and the untouched dough underneath the cinnamon roll. This leaves the braided section on top
  • Bake for 24-28 minutes until they're golden brown
