Watermelon Granita

Equipment

  • 1 freezer storage
  • 1 zester
  • 1 bowl

Ingredients

  • 1/2 watermelon
  • 1 lime zest and juice
  • 1-2 tbsp honey (optional)
  • pinch salt

Instructions

  • Cut you watermelon into rectangles, this makes them easier to grate
  • Place the watermelon in freeze safe storage bags or containers and freeze overnight
  • When ready to serve, place the zester over a bowl and shave down all the watermelon
  • Zest the lime on top, drizzle the lime juice and honey, sprinkle salt and serve!

Notes

Watermelon has potassium, salt for sodium and honey for sugar to help replace electrolytes when playing outside
