Sore Throat Popsicles

Ingredients : Makes 8 popsicles if you use the same mold

1/4 tsp Salt

1/4 tsp Cinnamon

2 C Water or oat milk for a creamier popsicle

1 Chamomile tea bag

1 tbsp honey

**Flavor alternatives

•You can substitute the water for juice if you want to make a specific flavor popsicle. To do this steam the tea in 1 C water and then add it to the juice. Don’t heat the juice. So the new proportion would be 1 C tea and 1 C juice for the fluid

•If you don’t like cinnamon you can eliminate it.

Directions:

1. Boil water. When it begins to boil remove from the heat.

2. Steam the tea, cinnamon, salt and honey for 10 minutes. Mix well and then pour into the molds and freeze over night. Some of the cinnamon will pool at the top of the popsicle you can easily wipe it off if it’s too strong

**The reason we’re adding salt to the popsicle is because sodium helps relieve a sore throat. Chamomile helps ease pain of a sore throat and cinnamon is soothing as well. Of course always ask your doctor first especially if you want to make these for a child. Some people are allergic to chamomile, it may interact with medication and it has an age restriction.
