Ingredients

  • 3/4 C Cooked rice 1 day old works best
  • 1 tbsp Toasted sesame oil or oil of your choice
  • 1 pinch Salt

For the Tuna

  • 1 5oz can Safe Catch Wild Elite Pure Tuna Lowest mercury of any brand and now available at Costco to buy in bulk!
  • 1 tbsp Spicy mayo
  • 1 tsp Coconut aminos or tamari or soy sauce Low sodium
  • 1/2 tsp Lime Juice

For the Bowl

  • 1-2 stalks Green onion sliced
  • 1/4 C English cucumber diced
  • 1/4 C Pickled red cabbage optional
  • 1 tbsp Sushi ginger optional
  • 1/2 Avocado optional

Instructions

  • In a small skillet heat the sesame oil. Place the rice on top and let it sit 3-5 minutes without stirring so the bottom crisps
  • While the rice is cooking prepare the tuna. Drain the water from the can. In a small bowl mix the tuna, mayo, coconut aminos and lime juice until combined.
  • Assemble the bowl. Layer the rice, tuna, cucumber, pickled cabbage and ginger. I added extra spicy mayo on top and then sprinkled sliced green onion on top
