Chocolate Collagen Bites

Collagen is the most abundant protein in the body. It’s found in skin, bones, muscles and tendons. It helps skin maintain elasticity and prevents the development of wrinkles. And these bites double as a healthy dessert!

Ingredients: Makes about 3-4 servings
1/2 C Granola butter (nut free) or nut butter of your choice
3 tbsp maple syrup
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/3 C Collagen peptides (I used Truvani brand)
3 tbsp cocoa powder or cacao
1/8 tsp salt
1/4 C mini, dairy-free chocolate chips

Directions:
1. Mix all the ingredients except the chocolate chips together until a sticky paste forms
2. Fold in the chocolate chips
3. Line a baking sheet or dish with parchment paper.
4. Roll the mixture into balls about 8.
5. Freeze for at least an hour before enjoying

*note: The more runny your granola butter is the more flat your bites will be. And if your granola butter is very thick the bites will be more of a ball shape. Neither one is bad! Just related to the oil content
