Coffee Cake Based Oats


Dairy, egg, gluten free! Top 9 allergen free!

Ingredients:
1 3/4 C Old fashion oats, gluten free
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp cinnamon
1/4 tsp salt
2 tbsp ground flax seeds or chia seeds or 2 tbsp apple sauce
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 C applesauce or smashed banana
2 tbsp maple syrup
1 3/4 C Milk of your choice

For crumb topping:

2/3 cup Old Fashioned Rolled Oats

4 tbsp coconut sugar or brown sugar (you can decrease this for a lower sugar topping but you will need some sugar

2 Tbsp vegan butter or melted coconut oil or avocado oil

1 tsp cinnamon

*optional: Melted granola butter to top before eating with or without powdered sugar as

Directions: Make 6 servings

1. Preheat oven to 375. Prepare an 8×8 pan or 9×9.
2.Add Oats, baking powder, cinnamon, salt, and seeds. Mix
3. In a small mixing bowl combine the milk, vanilla, apple sauce and maple syrup.
4. For the topping, using a food processor chop the oats until they become a flour. Add in cold butter, sugar, and cinnamon. Pulse a few times or until mixed together and crumbly.
5. Top baked oatmeal mixture with crumb topping.
6. Bake for 30-40 minutes until the center is set. Allow to cool before cutting. optional: Serve with melted granola butter on top! Or powdered sugar
