Tips to increase your protein intake

  • Add protein powder to smoothies, yogurt and baked goods
  • Eat protein at every meal, 20-30g at every meal is ideal for most people
  • Swap snack foods for nuts, cottage cheese, greek yogurt, edamame and other high protein foods
  • Swap regular wheat pasta for pasta made out of chickpeas or edamame
  • Snack on jerky
  • When you sit down to eat, eat the protein on your dish first so you don’t leave any behind
  • Swap cereal for 3 eggs
  • Top your yogurt, pancakes and salads with nuts
  • Make a collagen shot with a small scoop of collagen which has 10g of protein and mix it with a juice or drink that you like
  • Eat more beans! You can add them to your burgers to mix with the meat, salads, tacos
  • Make chicken salad for lunch instead of a sliced turkey sandwich
  • Swap rice for quinoa which has 8g of protein per cup
