Gut Reset Fruit Salad

Did you know that papaya and kiwi contain digestive enzymes that can help reduce bloating and resolve constipation? Add in pears and berries for fiber and you’ve created a powerhouse. Mint helps calm the stomach, the acid in the lime helps change the pH of the stomach and olive oil is an anti-inflammatory that helps with digestion

Gut Reset Fruit Salad
Equipment
- 1 Large mixing bowl
Ingredients
Fruit Salad
- 1 C Papaya, fresh and cubed
- 1 C Blueberries, fresh
- 1 C Green or Asian Pear, with the skin on cubed You can remove the skin if you have an allergy to it
- 1 C Kiwi, cubed
- 1/2 C Strawberries optional- hard to find good ones this time of year
- 1 C Pomegranates aerils
- 1/2 C Raspberries, fresh
Enzyme Dressing
- 1 Lime, zest- Zest of an entire lime
- 2 tbsp Avocado oil or extra virgin light olive oil
- 1-2 tsp Honey
- 1-2 tsp Fresh mint leaves, minced Omit if you have reflux, you can use basil leaves instead
- 2 tbsp Water
Instructions
- Wash & chop all your fruit and add it to a large mixing bowl
- In a small cup whisk together the dressing ingredients. Pour over the top of the fruit salad when ready to eat. If meal prepping store the dressing separately and the papaya. Both have enzymes that will eat away at the fruit. If using strawberries and meal prepping keep them whole.
